IRS National Tax Security Awareness Reminder
At Taxware Systems, the security of our tax professional clients and their data is a top priority. As preparations begin for the 2026 tax season, we want to make sure you are aware of important security warnings being shared by the IRS and its partners. From December 1-5, 2025, the IRS, state tax agencies, and members of the tax industry observed the 10th Annual National Tax Security Awareness Week, highlighting the growing risks of identity theft and tax-related scams.
This initiative, led by the Security Summit – a coalition that includes the IRS, state agencies, tax software providers, and tax professionals – offered timely reminders, education, and resources to help safeguard sensitive personal and financial information. We strongly encourage our clients to review these materials on IRS.gov and remain vigilant, as proactive awareness is one of the most effective tools in protecting both your practice and your clients.
